The entire area is built on one of the few stone ledges on Florida's Suncoast, along the Phillippi River in Sarasota, adjacent to a pretty residential area. From the boat basin and canal, you're just a few minutes by boat from the Intracoastal Waterway and some of the finest fishing around. A quick drive takes you to Sarasota's best beaches. Siesta Key is only a few minutes away and its beach is made of 98% quartz, which makes it soft to walk on and never gets hot. There are 3 area malls within 15 minutes, a shopping mart just 2 minutes away which includes restaurants, Detweilers, CVS, etc. Only 6.4 miles to downtown and Marina Jacks from there it is easy to get to the little theatres, great restaurants, the Opera, the Symphony, Ringling Museum and the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall and other fascinating attractions. The Community itself centers around the Recreation Complex, in the main building a huge party-game- meeting room is equipped with a large screen TV, VCR, card tables and its own complete kitchen.
